Brother Printer MFC-J6920DW: Black print head clogged with ink.

This has been a gradual failure to print just the black. I have done 3 cleaning cycles, over multiple days, this worked a little but used quite a bit of ink. Then I used a syringe kit with cleaning fluid and paper towels under the head. Made a bit of a mess and pulled out a bunch of color ink at the same time. That did help, I got back about 90% of the print range. However it quickly failed again to 0%. All I have used in this is Brother Ink.

Can the print head removed more a through manual cleaning? What happens to the ink used in the self cleaning operation?

Brother Printer MFC-J6920DW: Error: Cannot Initialize 8F

Brand new printer, just arrived today. It says "Cannot Initialize 8F".

After looking around that generally means some kind of jam, but it's new and there is no jam.

When I lift the scanner bed and hold the red "x" on the touchscreen to move the print head to the middle there is the sound of belts slipping and the print head does not move.

Is there a known way to fix this?

Brother Printer MFC-J6920DW: Not able to scan to file

Printer is connected to the wireless network and all devices - laptops, phones and tablets - can send files to the printer which are successfully printed, i.e. the MFC is connected to the network. However, when I try to scan from the MFC to laptop the error message “Not able to scan to file” appears on the MFC screen. When I go to the control panel the MFC scanner profile says it is working correctly. I do have a work around (scan to USB drive then transfer drive to laptop) however this is not ideal. Any solutions would be appreciated. Thanks
