Epson WF-2540: printer over-accelerates paper/results in faded print

Recently my WF-2540 began to accelerate print jobs resulting in faded prints. Upon sending a job to the printer, I hear normal sounds until a loud metallic sound is uttered followed by an over-accelerated feeding of the paper through the machine. The print quality is faded to the point that it is unreadable on parts of the page. Is this fixable?

Epson WF-2540: Epson WF-2540 leaves hickeys

This Epson WF-2540 has all of a sudden started leaving ink blotches/hickeys on the leading edge of paper and especially bad on envelopes.

I have done all the maintenance procedures more than once to try to get rid of this problem to no avail. I have also scoured the internet for several hours using several search terms and several different search engines without finding anything about this particular issue. As many know, the Epson website is basically useless and since this is an older machine it is no longer "supported". (Planned obsolescence don't-cha-know?)

Any help leading to a resolution of this problem will be greatly appreciated.

Epson WF-2540: How to reassemble the scanner gears

Hi everybody. I have an Epson WF2750 printer/scanner which I am trying to repair. I opened up the scanner unit, some gear wheels dropped out and I cant figure how to re-assemble them. Can anybody help please?!! I’ve already changed the main board and have a replacement print head to install - all not difficult. I opened the scanner unit to repair a broken plastic catch - done - but cant re-assemble the gears as they are not obvious. Thanks.

PS I could only find the WF2540 option when placing this question.

Epson WF-2540: Automatic feeder stops working halfway

Hi,

I am having a unique situation. The top automatic feeder stops working halfway. It recognizes the paper and begins feeding it. Then all of a sudden the paper stops feeding and it says that there is a paper jam. There is nothing jammed. I remove the paper and try again, and the same thing happens. It will start to feed and then just stops in it’s tracks. Any help?

Thank you!

PS I actually have a WF-2750 but that wasn’t an option!

Epson WF-2540: ADF opening lever will now work. is there another way to get inside?

I have the newer version of this printer, the WF-7720. It is throwing an ADF error. From my research I need to lift the ADF cover lever and double check the rollers and what not, but my lever does not work. It doesn’t seem to engage any clips or anything under the cover. Does anyone have any other ways to get the ADF cover open?
