HP Pavilion dv2000: PLEASE HELP! Beeping and black screen when laptop turned on

OK, I've had this laptop (HP pavilion dv2000) for a while now, and I have no idea what happened. Recently, when I turn it on, all the lights turn on—but after around 5 seconds, it beeps loudly four times. Also, the screen is completely black—nothing pops up. The black screen goes on forever. If anybody has had this problem or knows how to fix it, I would be extremely grateful for your help with this problem. I have no idea what to do. Thanks.

HP Pavilion dv2000: I don't know my password

My son added a password on the power up screen and forgot what it is so I'm locked out. How do I get around it? I've try f8 f11 on start up but it goes directly to the password prompt.

Why is my screen going blank without showing anything when I power my laptop on.

If I power it on, the lights on the keyboard shows but the light on my CAPSLOCK keep on blinking and the system won't come up??

I have a 2009 HP Pavilion dv2000 laptop.

Its in pretty bad shape. Its hinge is broken, it makes !&&* lot of noise, graphics card is trash.

But, atleast it could switch on for basic stuff. Now its screen is broken as well. Its divided into 6 parts, consisting of colorful rectangles.

Please guide if I replace the screen, will it start working as it used to or there is some major fault?

I plan to replace it myself, is it doable?

I am having a slimier problem mine was dropped once and is has not worked since, so there is little hope. when ever you plug it in all of the lights come on but the screen does not, also the fan comes on, you are still able to turn it off by holding the power button for a few seconds but it does not beep. when you unplug it it will turn off. please help!
