MacBook Pro 15" Touch Bar 2019: Flexgate on MacBook Pro 2019?

Hi I have a 2019 15” MacBook Pro and today when I turned it on, I’m greeted by this nightmare!

But as I tilted the lid, things got better

Could this be Flex-gate at play? I’m dreading taking it to Apple.

MacBook Pro 15" Touch Bar 2019: Broken connector on a1990 motherboard?

Long story short, I've bought an used macbook pro 16 2019 for good price. After booting it up, it seemed like it didn't take a charge / no indication of battery installed in os (it only works plugged in on AC). The guy I bought it from stated that there was a fresh battery installed in it with O cycles, so I was suspicious. After opening it up, I can confirm that the battery is new, but there is a missing part from the motherboard (atleast to my knowledge), where one end of a cable (probably flexgate / something like that? I'm sorry, but | lack technical knowledge regarding macbooks) was supposed to be put in and ensure some function regarding battery.

Could somebody please tell me what does the cable do? Is this fixable (probably by microsoldering in local repairshop) or is it usable from now only while plugged in?

Thank you.

MacBook Pro 15" Touch Bar 2019: I damaged my MBP 15” 2019 battery while trying to open in it

I opened my MacBook to clean it. The backplate was very difficult to open, harder than usual (this is already like the 5th time I‘m opening it). After cleaning I noticed that the battery was damaged. Imo the damage is not severe, but I have no experience with batteries exploding and catching fire. The inner layer of the battery is slightly visible.

Guys, what are the odds that it could explode? The battery already needs to be replaced, since it has about 950 cycles, but I would like to use it for a couple of days. Thanks.

MacBook Pro 15" Touch Bar 2019: MacBook stuck on black screen

About a month ago my 2019 MacBook Pro was stuck on a blank screen.

It’s like the laptop was still working, but the screen stopped working. There would be a sound when I plugged the charger in, I could hear the fans working, I could even charge my phone. But the screen stayed black.

Eventually I found a fix online. I reset something by holding keys down after pressing the power button and it started working again.

Anyways, this exact same thing has happened (black screen), but I’ve forgotten what I reset to make it work again.

Can anyone suggest what I could try?

It wasn’t the SMC or PRAM/NVRAM. It was another one which I found only after hours of searching.
