We've got a Nokia 920 in, great phone but we know the software and ROM is quite flakey and leads to all kinds of issues.

We can solve most SW issues but this one is odd;

We changed the screen and all was working OK. The owner went to do a software update under the advice of her carrier (wasn't told to leave it plugged in, but we're not sure if it died mid flash). It got to the gear screen and stayed there all night. it had been plugged it in by this point.

Still like that this morning, we performed a soft reset, and now it's stuck on the charging screen.

Trying hard reset and soft reset does not help this, we get the Nokia logo then this charging screen.

When this is on, if we disconnect the power cable, the phone immediately turns off.

But we know it has power because we can turn it on and get to the battery screen without the USB cable connected. but without that cable it shows the battery logo without the plug.

So, we know the battery and charging circuits are ok, but it seems to be stuck here.

any idea how to kick it out of this loop?

I thought it was the charging port because there was a small physical defect near the USB charging port (voiding the warranty). I ordered an OEM USB port charging connector flex cable. I changed the charging port.

Now I see that it installed the driver on my PC when I connected through the USB cable. But it's still not charging, and it displays nothing when I try to charge it or power it on.

What can cause this problem, and which part needs to be changed in order to work properly? Thanks.

I have bought Nokia Lumia 1520 last year.

Unfortunately after the denim update , a week later my phone went off and does not restart anymore.

I sent it to service centre and they say mother board has problem and cannot be fixed.

I do not understand what do i do now?

I have been willing to be loyal to microsoft team but will have no option but to switch soon.

What can I replace on my phone? I saw in video guide on this site what LCD+touch+glass is one solid item.

But on ebay I find "Black Front Panel Touch Screen Digitizer" without LCD. It is save my money.

Can I buy this for repair my phone myself, or I can buy full display?

Last night while i was using my phone wifi ...it got stuck and i reset it (soft reset) then it got stuck again and again , i reset it again used for few minutes and it happened again.. then after it is not turning on now, it looks like dead phone ..

i tried hard reset , soft reset again and again , connected charger , usb cable , but nothing happened on screen .. it looks like dead ..black screen ..

what should i do???

i have a problem with the 920 Loudspeaker (for music, ringtones etc.)

The sound is extreme poor, at all loudness levels. I did a hard reset - nothing changed. No sound encancement/equeleizer activated.

With headphone the sound is ok.

So i disassembled the phone and changed the buzzer piece. Twice in the meantime. But nothing helped and i think the problem does not come from the buzzer.

When I open any image or the camera of my lumia 920 the screen not rotated between horizontal and position to showing that image in full screen.

But when I open any video it comes on horizontal position and will not back to vertical till I back to the main screen and it comes normally.

Is the rotation sensor damage? or that's a software problem?

I am using Lumia 920 for some time, suddenly I can see phone is not able to receive the signal,I replaced the same sim into some ther phone and it's working on that phone so its not sim problem

how to fix it

Guess some problem with Antenna.
