dreamGEAR Quad Dock Pro: Trouble Using nRF24L01

Hi all,

I’m trying to add wireless control to an older device using the nRF24L01 2.4 GHz module.. I’ve got two modules, one as transmitter, one as receiver hooked up to Arduino with the RF24 library. Short-range tests work fine.

But I’m running into problems. Signal drops when the module is inside or behind metal parts. Sometimes the transmitter won’t reconnect unless I reset the receiver. There’s a small delay that makes control a bit sluggish.

I’ve tried moving the antenna, adding caps to stabilize power, and trimming message size, but no big improvement.

Has anyone here used nRF24L01 modules in enclosed or repaired devices? Any tips on better range, faster reconnection, or avoiding signal loss? Would the version with an external antenna help?

Thanks for any guidance!
