This category covers 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976 Mercedes-Benz W114 and W115 models.

W114 (6-Cylinder Petrol):
- 230 to 250: 2.3L to 2.5L inline-6 engines producing 120 to 130 hp.
- 280/280E: The top-tier 2.8L M110 engine, delivering up to 185 hp in fuel-injected form.
W115 (4-Cylinder Petrol & Diesel):
- Petrol: 2.0L to 2.3L engines making 95 to 110 hp.
- Diesel: The "indestructible" OM615/616/617 family, ranging from the 55 hp 200D to the world's first 5-cylinder passenger diesel, the 80 hp 300D (240D 3.0).
Innovation: The 250CE was the first production Mercedes to use Bosch D-Jetronic fully electronic fuel injection.
