Introduction
As a new line of 2-in-1’s enter the market, FUJITSU decided to take on the market with their take on the concept. Announced in January of 2018, this was their attempt at creating a durable, yet mobile tablet. With its designed audience being that of the healthcare and financial sectors as a device intended to be carried around all day within multiple types of environments. The tablet was designed with the option to add a dedicated keyboard module that wasn’t a folio design like detachable PCs. Rather, it was a full, sized module that gave it full laptop keyboard in a proper clamshell design. There was also the port replicator, called a “docking cradle”, it expanded the already generous port options of the device. Including a full-sized HDMI port, VGA port, 1GB Ethernet port, and 4 USB 3.0 ports. In addition to the two USB-A ports (USB 2.0 and 3.0), USB-C Port (USB 3.0), Micro HDMI, Headset Jack, Smart Card Reader, SIM Slot, Micro SD card slot, and stylus slot. The stylus itself has a pressure sensitivity of 4K, making it ideal for not just signing documents, but also writing. The display, despite being only 1080p, was coated in an anti-glare coating, making it easier to read outside. The rubber bumpers and semi-rugged design made sure that it would survive accidental drops and scratches. Performance was below average for some reviewers, though the overall package made the device worth it overall.
