Introduction

This guide is intended to help you reattach a severed headphone on Sony WH-CH520 wireless headphones using a soldering iron.

Before reattaching your headphone, you should verify that the sound is still working and the connecting wire is free of physical damage. This guide includes soldering; take caution while working with a heated soldering iron and melting materials.

Plug in the soldering iron, allowing it time to heat to 480 degrees Fahrenheit.

Gently feed the wire back into the headband piece of the headset.

Seat the headphone back into the headset, making sure to keep it angled in the desired direction.

Apply the soldering tip around the circumference where the headphone and headset meet, allowing the tip to rest for about one second in each area it touches.
Soldering involves using a high degree of heat. Avoid touching the soldering tip or the melted materials as they cool.
