Causes
A faulty battery could cause the RetroMini Miyoo Mini Plus to short circuit. Therefore not allowing enough power to run the device.
- Verify that the battery to the RetroMini Miyoo Mini Plus is partially charged.
- Plug in the charger to the RetroMini Miyoo Mini Plus for approximately 15-20 minutes.
- If the battery appears to be damaged then you may need to replace the battery. Check this repair guide here.
RetroMini Miyoo Mini Plus Battery Replacement

Sometimes the RetroMini Miyoo Mini Plus will freeze, giving the appearance of it turning off.
- Press and hold the power button on the RetroMini Miyoo Mini Plus until the device turns off.
- Check to see if there is a "Loading Screen" appearing when powered back on.
- Try pushing in both the Menu button and the Power button. This will revert to the main menu.
Sometimes a faulty SD Card will cause the device to power on and show only a black screen.
- Try reformatting the original SD Card incase there are corrupt files.
- If reformatting fails. You can replace the SD Card with a similar model. If a new SD Card is needed then make sure you install Onion OS onto the new card.
