Razer Orochi V2 Cursor Skipping Across Screen
Device constantly skips across the screen, making it hard to use.
Weak Battery
- Use a fresh alkaline AA battery
- For the best performance reputable AA lithium battery and avoid cheap low-quality batteries and rechargeable NiMH batteries
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Interference
Avoid using Bluetooth to connect your mouse
- Use a 2.4 GHz mode dongle to connect your mouse to your device.
- Move the dongle to a front USB port or use a USB extension
Faulty Sensor Tracking Due to Surface
If the surface isn’t suitable, it might cause the Razer mouse to skip or freeze
- Use a quality mousepad instead of using the mouse on surfaces like glass or any uneven surface
- To remove any dust or dirt from the sensor, clean the mouse sensor with a dry cotton swab, microfiber towel, or similar material. Don’t use any sort of liquid to clean because the sensor lens is delicate. Turn the mouse upside down and clean in and around the sensor opening.
Loose Dongle Connection
- Blow out the USB port and the dongle to remove any dust
- Try using a different USB port or a USB extension cable
- Clean the metal contacts by very lightly damping a microfiber towel or cotton swab and wiping off any dust from the dongles metal contacts
Mouse Feet Friction
Check for uneven wear, or sliding while using the mouse, as these are good signs that the mouse's feet are the issue.
- Clean your mousepad and mouse feet. Optionally using a microfiber towel with no liquid wipe any debris off the mouse feet, avoid using any liquid as it may sink into the sensor or other sensitive parts of the mouse
- If cleaning the mousepad and mouse feet doesn’t resolve this issue, replacing the mouse feet would be the best option. Replace the stock mouse feet with a reputable replacement like Tiger Arc or Hyper glide.
- Flip the mouse over
- Optionally you could warm up the mouse feet using a hairdryer or something could make the skates more pliable just make sure it’s on low heat
- Now use your fingernail or a small flat tool to lift the mouse's feet until the adhesive starts to separate. Don’t use any metal tools in order to avoid scraping the mouse surface.
- Slowly peel off the mouse feet
- Optionally you can use a very small amount of isopropyl alcohol and a microfiber towel or cotton swab wipe the surface clean. If you do, don't let any alcohol sink into the mouse sensor. Make sure there is no sticky residue left and dry off the mouse.
- Place the new feet on the mouse, and after they are centered press them down for 15 seconds.
- Let the adhesive cure for 1 hour before using
