The Kenwood DNX571HD is an in-dash car stereo with a 6.1” wide touch screen, AV Navigation System, Bluetooth, and HD and Satellite Radio. Compatible with Android and Apple Smartphones.

Head unit will not power up.

I have a Kenwood DNX570HD that has been working fine and just stopped working. It will not power up. The red triangle is off when I start my truck however if I push that button it will light up but then goes back out after about 5 minutes.

You can actually take out the daughter board and use a heat gun to float the solder. Thats all it is 90% of the time. Just have to have a little patience and skills to take it apart.

Correct..unfortunately, kenwood designed this as the farthest thing away from the fan in the whole deck. By chance do you have any idea why a similar model came with touch screen would work in a split screen mode? Half of the screen is fine and half of the screen is grayed out

Where is this daughter board?

by

The daughter board is to left just under the disc unit. You have to take the discplayer out and use a heat gun and apply heat to this board. Heat gun works best but don't get it too close. Do this for about 2 minutes and that should be good. Let it sit and don't move it for about 20 minutes. After that the solder should have time to settle. I have done this numerous times and it has worked. Good luck.

Yes, I have tried to reset it multiple times. I have checked both fuses and also checked all connections to make sure nothing is loose or not making a connection.
