because I have the same USB-C replacement kit from Aliexpress has this video but when I was removing the broken charger port I ripped off the pads on the pcb which I had to solder to.

Those pads in red are the two pads that connect to the charging port, the pads in blue are for the charging dock, the other ones are soldered on the metal casing of the port. Both the charging port and charging dock can charge your 3ds, and the other pads only anchor the port. Judging from the picture, you've ripped off the pads that anchor the charging port, which doesn't do anything other than holding it down.

If you can somehow anchor a new charging port, as long as those two pads are soldered to the charging port you should be able to charge it. I would advise you NOT to use the type-c mod, as you might rip off the remaining pads as well.

Also, next time take the motherboard off before you do any soldering, you're cooking the case.
