Introduction

Is the cuff buckle on your PAPASION A306S damaged, torn, or extremely dirty? If you have trouble tightening your cuff buckle or its ability to remain latched, you may need to replace the buckle altogether.

A tightly latched boot is important to safeguard yourself from injury. This guide will show you how to remove the cuff buckle on your PAPASION A306S.

Please be advised that the stripping of the rivets is difficult to do by hand. You may need a power drill for this process if you are proficient with one.

Check the troubleshooting page first to confirm if there are any other underlying issues.

What you need

Step 1 Cuff Buckle

Place the skate on a flat surface.

Locate the rivets on each side of the cuff buckle.
There should be 3 rivets in total.

Insert Pozidriv PZ2 screwdriver into the back of each rivet and twist until the rivet is shaved down enough to pop out. Repeat as needed.
Apply heavy pressure.
If there are issues removing rivets, use a power drill with an 11/32 inch bit.
If using a power drill for this process, avoid loose clothing, and tie back hair. Wear safety goggles for additional protection.

Stripping the rivets will produce metal shavings and dust. Use caution and dispose of them in the trash.

Remove the plastic part of the cuff buckle with the attached cuff and discard.
