Alienware AW610M Doesn’t Power On

Alienware AW610M Doesn’t Power On

If your Alienware AW610M will not light up, turn on, or show any signs of power, follow this page to solve the issue.

Causes

1

To replace the battery of your mouse, start by gathering the tools needed, such as plastic opening tools and a compatible new battery pack. Open the two parts of the mouse by unscrewing the screws located at the bottom of the case. Open it and locate the battery pack inside. Carefully lift the wire connector of the battery from the mainboard to remove it. Next, remove the old battery and insert the new one. Finally, reconnect the wire of the new battery to the mainboard and reassemble the mouse by reattaching the casing.

2

Gather your supplies, such as a spudger, a new USB-C port, and soldering equipment. (This process requires advanced skills, and you may need professional assistance.) Review the USB-C charging replacement guide to properly disassemble your mouse. Disconnect the mouse to access the USB-C port of the mainboard. Then, pull out the original USB-C port from the mainboard slowly; this is a delicate process that requires patience and caution. Solder the new USB-C port into position firmly after positioning it correctly over the solder pads. To confirm that the repair worked, reassemble the mouse and experiment with the charging function.
